it feels funny

now

when

the moon

is full

I have been

going out

to dance

underneath its canopy

until every little thing

goes dark

leaving me

in my bed

to cry

I can’t decide

if it means

I’m alive

or going to die

In the daylight

I feel

in love

until the nighttime

when the monsters come out

to destroy what was made

during the daylight hours

while they were consumed

with lethargy

it is like

you have been

cursed as you rise to pray

something’s been done

you can feel

you can feel

the pull

towards a prophet

who knew you

had a vision that

inspired him

it is like

you have been
